We desire to be a church that gathers well on Sunday and scatters well throughout the week. Find out more about how we do this together at Citizens Church, with various ministries for both adults and children!



Sunday Mornings

We gather together to worship and pray every Sunday at 10 am. We also gather before our worship service at 9 am for an Equipping Hour, which serves both adults and children.



For children ages 3-12

Children’s Equipping Class

In addition to our worship service ministries, childcare is also provided during the adult Equipping Class (9:00 am) for children ages 3–12, allowing parents to attend and be encouraged in their own walk with Christ.


The Children’s Ministry of Citizens Church exists to glorify God by:

  • Supporting and encouraging parents for teaching biblical truths to their children (Ephesians 6:4)
  • Helping children know the whole counsel of God, focusing on the Gospel (Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Romans 1:16-17)
  • Praying for and trusting the Holy Spirit to regenerate children’s hearts through the faithful teaching of His Word (Romans 10:17; Ephesians 2:4-10)
  • Living as faithful disciples before the children, thus modeling for them how Christians are called to love God and neighbor (Matthew 5:16; 22:37-40; 1 Corinthians 11:1)
  • Serving parents by providing age-appropriate Bible lessons for children (Hebrews 10:25)
For teens and adults

Adult Equipping Class

Beginning at 9 am before our Sunday Worship Service, Citizens Church offers an Equipping Class for teens and adults. This time is designed to help deepen our understanding of God’s Word and encourage one another in faithful discipleship. Each week, a member of our church family teaches on a rotating topic—ranging from church history to practical theology and spiritual disciplines to help live out the gospel in everyday life.


The goal of the Equipping Class is to challenge us to grow in maturity, equip us for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12), and strengthen our personal devotion to the Lord. Whether you are new to the faith or have followed Christ for years, this time is meant to help you know Him more and walk more closely in obedience to His word.


All are welcome to attend the equipping classes each week.

For ages 0-5

Childcare

During the worship service at 10 am, a staffed Nursery Ministry (ages 0-2) and Children’s Ministry (ages 3-5) are available for parents. We believe children are a gift from the Lord, and we take seriously our responsibility to steward their souls and their safety. From a young age, we want our kids to hear the gospel and become familiar with this incredible news! To aid in that, our Children’s Ministry will teach an age-appropriate, gospel-centered lesson from The Biggest Story Curriculum each week.


At Citizens Church, providing a safe environment for children to learn about Jesus is our top priority. All childcare volunteers are church members who have been screened, interviewed, and trained before being allowed to serve. Most of the Children’s Ministry volunteers are moms and dads themselves. They follow a strict policy and have a lot of fun!

Our church gathers again some evenings for Prayer Meetings and Members’ Meetings.

First Sunday of the month

Prayer Meeting

Prayer Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month at 5:00 p.m. A brief teaching on a passage of Scripture is given prior to reviewing prayer requests and engaging in prayer as a body.


All may submit prayer requests ahead of time, or share during the meeting.

Fourth Sunday of the month, bi-monthly

Members’ Meeting

Members’ Meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of every other month (at 5:00 p.m.). Members gather to renew our membership covenant, sing, fellowship over a meal, exercise the keys of the kingdom (Matthew 16 & 18), and make other significant decisions as a church. As an elder-led, congregational church, matters are discussed and voted upon by the members at the recommendation of the elders.

Throughout the Week

While scattered during the week, one of the primary ways the members of Citizens Church build relationships is through small groups, including Community Groups and Book Studies. These groups aim to foster spiritual growth and build relationships, yet they generally differ in purpose, size, and structure.




Community Groups

Community Groups are for men, women, and families of different ages and life stages. They regularly meet to spend time applying God’s Word to their lives and praying together.

Book Studies are typically a same-gendered group of men or women who meet regularly to discuss a theological book together and pray.
